Standard Appoints Two New Regional Pension Managers

The Standard has announced the appointment of regional pension managers for the Midwest and Houston regions.

Gary Anderson, appointed as Regional Pension Manager of the Midwest Region, will be charged with leading The Standard’s retirement plans sales teams covering the Midwest Region, which includes Omaha, Nebraska, northern Illinois, Wisconsin, Iowa, Minnesota, North and South Dakota. Prior to joining The Standard, he served in a variety of key sales management roles at Mass Mutual Retirement Plan Services, where he started in 1977, according to a press release. Anderson is also a specialist in Taft-Hartley plans, which he has sold through the Advisor channel since 1998, according to the Standard.

Rita Taylor-Rodriguez was appointed as Regional Pension Manager of the Houston Region. Taylor-Rodriguez will be charged with leading The Standard’s retirement plans sales teams covering the Houston Region, which includes Houston, Austin and south Texas.

Taylor-Rodriguez has over 20 years of sales and management experience within the retirement plans industry – most recently as the Regional Channel Manager for ADP Retirement Plan Services. Prior to ADP, she served as Regional Director and Registered Principal, as well as a Senior Regional Account Manager, for MetLife Retirement Services in Dallas, Texas.
