CFP Board Elects 3 to Board of Directors

The board of directors of the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc. elected three new board members: Evelyn Zohlen, Drew McMorrow and Zar Toolan. The member-elects’ three-year terms begin on January 1, 2027, and end on December 31, 2029.
Zohlen is a regional director and senior wealth adviser at Apella Capital LLC, known as Apella Wealth, where she leads the firm’s Southwest region. She founded Inspired Financial in 2003 and served as CEO until the firm’s acquisition by Apella Wealth in 2023. Earlier in her career, she served as a relationship manager with Vanguard.
McMorrow is president and CEO of Ballentine Partners, an independent multifamily office. He also served on the advisory boards of Family Wealth Alliance and the Ultra High Net Worth Institute and the Industry Leaders Council of the Family Office Exchange. Earlier in his career, he worked at Mercer Management Consulting, Oracle and the Congressional Budget Office.
Toolan is CEO of Archevia Advisors, a data and artificial intelligence advisory firm. Previously, he served as chief data and artificial intelligence officer and head of wealth platforms at Edward Jones and held executive leadership roles at Wells Fargo. He also contributes to CFP Board Financial Advice and AI working groups and speaks on wealth technology, financial planning and AI.
Lear Appoints Eric Stephenson as Managing Director, Director of Research

Lear Investment Management appointed Eric Stephenson as managing director and director of research.
Stephenson will lead fundamental investment research in support of the firm’s investment process and provide market perspectives for Lead’s clients and advisers.
Stephenson brings more than 20 years of institutional investment experience across fundamental research, hedge fund portfolio management, leveraged finance and high-yield credit. He previously managed long/short, multi-asset portfolios at Sandler Capital Management and Hunter Global Investors. Earlier in his career, he held senior structuring roles in leveraged finance and high-yield capital markets at Bank of America and BT Alex. Brown Inc.
The Standard Hires Taylor Chipp as Associate Retirement Plan Consultant

Standard Insurance Co. hired Taylor Chipp as an associate retirement plan consultant. Chipp will work with advisers, employers and third-party administrators in Orange County and San Diego, California.
Chipp has 15 years of experience in financial services and the retirement industry. Before joining The Standard, she served as senior vice president of client services at World Investment Advisors.
Chipp’s background includes partnering with retirement plan advisers on finalist presentations, online demonstrations and the positioning of product, consulting and education capabilities throughout the sales process. She earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting and an MBA in finance from the Pepperdine Graziadio Business School.
MissionSquare Promotes Jesse Coleman to Head of Consultant Relations
MissionSquare Retirement promoted Jesse Coleman to head of consultant relations. Coleman has been at MissionSquare for nearly six years, most recently as vice president of the consultant relations group.
Coleman will lead MissionSquare’s strategy to deepen its ties with the consulting community and accelerate growth across its institutional business.
TRA Adds Mykal Davis as Regional Plan Consultant

The Retirement Advantage Inc. added Mykal Davis as a regional plan consultant, focused on expanding TRA’s presence in Southern California and Hawaii. Davis will report to Jeff Schreiber, TRA’s vice president of national sales and distribution.
Davis brings more than 20 years of financial services experience across retirement plan sales, investment management and institutional fixed income. He most recently served as vice president of mid-market retirement plans with USI Consulting Group, where he focused on retirement plan sales and asset growth in Southern California.
The Hartford Names A. Morris Tooker as CEO

A. Morris Tooker
The Hartford Insurance Group Inc.’s board of directors appointed the company president, A. Morris ‘Mo’ Tooker, to succeed Christopher Swift as CEO, effective March 1, 2027. Swift will transition to the role of executive chair of the board as of the same date. In addition, Tooker joined the board, effective October 1.
Tooker began his tenure at The Hartford in 2015 as chief underwriting officer. As president, Tooker has led performance, strategy and enterprise-wide execution.
Swift will lead the board of directors, help guide and oversee corporate strategy, and serve as an adviser to the CEO. He expects to step down as executive chair in the second half of 2027.
T. Rowe Price Hires 2 Regional Consultants
T. Rowe Price announced the appointments of Catherine Carmen and Ryan Manthey as senior relationship managers to serve the Central and Southeast institutional teams, respectively.Based in Baltimore, Carmen reports to Kyle Lagratta, associate head of institutional business development. Carmen rejoins the firm from Ecosystem Investment Partners, where she served as managing director and head of investor relations, leading global capital raising and institutional investor engagement. From 2015 to 2022, Carmen served in T. Rowe Price’s institutional sales and client services division.
Manthey, based in Atlanta, reports to Chris Tarui, head of global institutional alternatives distribution. Manthey most recently served at Leucadia Asset Management, where he led consultant relationships and business development across the investment platform. He previously held an institutional investor relations role at Two Sigma Investments L.P. and spent more than seven years as an investment consultant at Aon PLC.
