FMG names Mark Casady as executive chairman; wealth adviser David LeMond joins Farther; Ashleigh Kester joins Voya as advisory services director; and more.

FMG Names Mark Casady as Executive Chairman

Mark Casady will join FMG Suite LLC as executive chairman, as the automation software company completed its acquisition by private equity firm GTCR.

Casady will work with Scott White, FMG’s president and CEO, and other management on initiatives including development of artificial intelligence-enabled products.

Casady has more than four decades of experience in financial services, wealth management and financial technology, and is currently the founder and chairman of the venture firm Vestigo Ventures. He previously served as chairman and CEO of LPL Financial and as a managing director at Deutsche Asset Management.

Wealth Adviser David LeMond Joins Farther

David LeMond, who manages $140 million in client assets, is now a principal and wealth adviser at Farther Financial Advisors LLC. Based in Cleveland, LeMond came from Edward Jones and has more than 25 years of wealth management experience.

LeMond joined Farther for its technology and resources, including its Intelligent Wealth Platform, according to a statement.

Ashleigh Kester Joins Voya as Advisory Services Director

Voya Financial Inc. announced that Ashleigh Kester has joined as an advisory services director. Based in greater Nashville, Tennessee, Kester is leading strategy, implementation and ongoing management of advisory services programs, and reports to Chris Trovato, advisory services product director.

“I’m thrilled to be part of a team dedicated to creating meaningful value for plan sponsors and participants, and I’m eager to contribute my experience and energy toward advancing Voya’s managed account initiatives,” Kester said in a statement.

Kester has more than 15 years of financial services experience, including leadership roles at Empower, MassMutual and Morgan Stanley. Most recently, she served as director of adviser-managed accounts at Empower.

Jara to Vice Chair American Bar Association Committee

José Martin Jara

José Martin Jara will serve as a leader in the American Bar Association’s real property, trust and estate law section. He will be the vice chair of the section’s IRA and plan distributions committee, which focuses on legislation and regulations related to individual retirement accounts, distributions, rollovers and investments. He will also be a member of the ABA’s Joint Committee on Employee Benefits.

Robeco Welcomes 4 New Members of Global Credit Team

Michael Booth

Michael Booth will join Robeco Institutional Asset Management B.V.’s London office on November 1 as senior global investment grade portfolio manager. He has 18 years’ experience and most recently managed Invesco’s Global Investment Grade Corporate Bond fund.

J.D. Rieber and Bradley Bull joined Robeco as analysts in consumer credit and technology, media and telecommunications credit, respectively. Ben Taylor joined as a junior Euro investment grade portfolio manager, based in Rotterdam, Netherlands.

The Robeco global credit team now consists of 40 portfolio managers and runs more than 34 billion pounds in assets under management.
