iCapital Alts Accessible on Envestnet UMA Platform

Fintech companies iCapital Inc. and Envestnet Inc. partnered to allow access to iCapital’s alternative investments capabilities within Envestnet’s unified managed account platform.

Workflows connecting iCapital’s technology and Envestnet’s adviser-traded sleeves can help advisers access alternative investments and structured investments, as well as construct, implement and oversee diversified portfolios.

iCapital had more than $1.14 trillion in assets serviced globally on its platform, including $300.6 billion in alternative platform assets, as of January 31. Envestnet has $7 trillion in platform assets.

SEI Releases Digital Onboarding Solution for CITs

SEI Investments Co. released SEI Access for CITs, a fully digitized and automated onboarding platform for collective investment trusts. It can support both public and private assets for defined contribution plan sponsors, advisers, recordkeepers and asset managers.

The platform offers automated data capture including pre‑populated form filings; digital applications that streamline review, approval and execution; centralized, collaborative dashboards with real‑time notifications and flexible infrastructure that can enable governance, onboarding and administration at scale.

According to the announcement, the onboarding processes for CIT applications and retirement plan implementation can take minutes, rather than hours or days.

The solution is available through the SEI Access platform.

Vanguard Launches 2 Index Equity ETFs

The Vanguard Group Inc. launched two index equity exchange-traded funds, Vanguard Developed Markets ex-US Value Index ETF (VDV) and Vanguard Developed Markets ex-US Growth Index ETF (VDG). The ETFs, which provide investors with flexibility to customize international allocations beyond broad-market approaches, had an expense ratio of 0.08% of as March 31.

The ETFs can be used individually for style tilts, together to break out developed markets exposure currently accessed through products like Vanguard FTSE Developed Markets ETF, or alongside Vanguard Emerging Markets ETF to create total international equity exposure.

VDV and VDG are advised by Global Equity Index Management, within Vanguard Capital Management.
