NFP, provider of insurance, brokerage and employee benefits services, has announced the acquisition of ERISA Fiduciary Advisors (EFA), a firm founded in 2005 as an independent, fee-based RIA and plan consultant.

EFA has offices in Weston and Stuart, Florida, and specializes in implementing comprehensive fiduciary management processes for plan sponsors. The firm also provides wealth management services coupled with fiduciary oversight.

The firm’s principals, Thomas Bastin and Bradley Larsen, will each assume the role of southeast region managing director, reporting to Nick Della Vedova, president of the retirement division at NFP.

Commenting on today’s announcement, Della Vedova says his firm expects the acquisition of EFA to help meet new challenges in an evolving regulatory landscape, “particularly as we look to expand our presence in the Southeast region.”
