Dunder Mifflin: In a twist to “reality” TV, Staples is bringing a fictional product, Dunder Mifflin paper, inspired by the NBC sitcom, “The Office,” to market. The Wall Street Journal reported that Staples-owned Quill.com is starting to sell Dunder Mifflin-branded paper products. (If you’re not aware, Dunder Mifflin is the name of the paper-producing company featured in the show.)

Eighteen percent of Americans say planning for retirement is an area they want to work on in 2012, according to the COUNTRY Financial Security Index. Other top financial priorities for 2012 include reducing debt (27%) and boosting savings (19%). When asked which national economic issue will most
impact them, 28% cited the federal budget deficit and the level of government spending.

Healthy Living: Eighty percent of pre-retirees said they would prefer to live as long as they’re healthy, while only 3% said they want to live as long as they have money, according to research from The Hartford and MIT AgeLab. Similar percentages were true for the retiree segment of the survey.

Getting things done is not the same as making things happen.
