Chicago Equity Firm Names Fixed-Income Hire

Chicago Equity Partners LLC hired Paul M. LaCoursiere as managing director and senior fixed-income portfolio manager.

In addition, Michael J. Budd has been promoted to managing director.

LaCoursiere will focus on investment strategy and risk management for the firm’s suite of fixed-income products. He previously held portfolio manager and senior strategist positions at Munder Capital Management, Barclays Global Investors, and Aviva Investors. LaCoursiere holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan and a master’s of business administration from the University of Chicago. He also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.

Budd is a senior fixed-income portfolio manager specializing in the mortgage, asset-backed and agency sectors. He is a founding member of the fixed-income team and is responsible for developing the investment process in use today.

Founded in 1989, with $10.3 billion in assets under management as of March 31, Chicago Equity Partners is an institutional money manager.
