Bank of America Merrill Lynch’s wealth management unit poached Morgan
Stanley Smith Barney executive Jimmy Tighe to serve as a senior office
responsible for business and resource integration, according to news
reports.

Tighe will report to Lyle LaMothe, head of Merrill’s U.S. retail brokerage business. “Jimmy brings additional senior leadership and deep industry knowledge to our team and will help to us to drive ongoing growth initiatives,” LaMothe said in a statement, according to Reuters.
Tighe was named head of the New York City region for Morgan Stanley Smith Barney after Morgan Stanley acquired Smith Barney last spring.
