Former Edelman CEO Becomes Executive Chairman of Son’s Wealth Firm

Larry Raffone
Larry Raffone, the former CEO of Edelman Financial Engine, joined Aligned Wealth Advisors LLC as a founding partner and executive chairman. His son, Nick Raffone, is Aligned’s president and chief financial officer.
Larry Raffone said in a recent company video that Aligned was the first opportunity that had interested him since his 2023 retirement from Edelman. On LinkedIn, he wrote that the firm “puts clients first, builds on transparency and trust, and helps families align their wealth with what matters most.”
He said in the video that when he met Aligned Co-Founders Pat Dwyer and Gregory Pool, previously managing directors at NewEdge Wealth, they all were “on the same page” regarding their vision for a firm.
“The more we thought about the firm we wanted to build, the culture we wanted to create, the work ethic, that family lifestyle that we wanted, we were like, ‘You know what? The disruption’s staring us right in the face,’” Larry Raffone said in the video. “We have an opportunity to work with this small group to try to create something very special. It was too good to pass up.”
