NFP acquires Moores Insurance Management; Horizon Wealth Management joins LPL; Apella Wealth welcomes Longview Financial Advisors; and more.
NFP Acquires Moores Insurance Management
NFP, an Aon company and a property and casualty broker and benefits consultant, announced the acquisition of Moores Insurance Management Inc., a multi-disciplinary risk management firm based in Minneapolis.
Moores CEO Mark Moores will join NFP as senior vice president of commercial P&C, and will report to Amanda Ruback, managing director of P&C for NFP’s Central region. Moores President Jack Moores will join as senior vice president of personal lines and report to Mary Mullen, senior vice president of personal risk for NFP’s Central region.
Horizon Wealth Management Joins LPL
LPL Financial LLC announced that Financial Advisers Bill Wagner, Scott Sennett and Andrew Kocukov of Horizon Wealth Management Group joined LPL Financial’s broker/dealer and registered investment adviser platforms. The team, which came from Wells Fargo Advisors Financial Network, reported serving approximately $385 million in advisory, brokerage and retirement plan assets as of year-end 2025.
Wichita, Kansas-based Horizon Wealth Management Group primarily serves retirees and individuals approaching retirement, with most of the practice focused on helping clients manage the distribution phase.
The team selected LPL for its technology, financial planning capabilities and service model.
LPL Financial Holdings Inc. supports more than 32,000 financial advisers and services approximately $2.3 trillion in brokerage and advisory assets.
Apella Wealth Welcomes Longview Financial Advisors
Apella Capital LLC, known as Apella Wealth, a financial advisory and wealth management firm, announced that Longview Financial Advisors LLC joined the firm.
Led by Founder Tim Harrington, the San Rafael, California-based firm serves professionals, families and retirees with a highly personalized approach to financial planning and wealth management. Harrington will join Apella alongside the Longview team.
The deal closed on September 15. As of closing, Apella had approximately $12 billion in assets under management.
Modern Wealth Management Adds $710M Florida Team
Modern Wealth Management, a registered investment advisory firm, announced the acquisition of Jacksonville, Florida-based Sanchez Wealth Management Group LLC, a wealth management firm overseeing nearly $710 million in client assets.
Founded by Christen Sanchez, Sanchez Wealth has spent more than 25 years building a comprehensive wealth management practice centered on serving entire client households. He is joined by his sister, Wealth Adviser Dawn Nicoles, and Wealth Adviser Josh Mandelkorn. They are supported by Alexandria Sanchez, client service associate and the founder’s daughter; Lindsey Hall, client service associate; and Jennifer Koeller, director of operations.
