Beacon Pointe Makes 2 Executive Leadership Appointments

Beacon Pointe Advisors LLC announced two executive leadership additions: Katie Cullen as chief growth and integration officer and Sarah Green as chief risk and compliance officer.

Cullen brings experience in strategic execution, executive coaching, leadership development and organizational growth. Before joining Beacon Pointe, she led BlackRock’s business consulting business, where she worked with financial services executives and advisers on strategy, business performance and the service of high-net-worth clients. Previously, she held senior strategy and innovation roles within the registered investment adviser industry and at Schwab Advisor Services.

Green has expertise in compliance, regulatory oversight and enforcement. Most recently, she served as Vanguard’s global head of financial crimes and code of conduct, overseeing compliance programs related to know-your-customer, anti-money laundering, trade surveillance and a range of code-of-ethics issues. Earlier in her career, she held roles at the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority and the Securities and Exchange Commission and practiced corporate and securities law.

David Haughton Joins Hargrove as VP of Engagement

Hargrove Management Services Organization Inc., which supports Hargrove Firm’s estate planning operations, hired David Haughton as vice president of engagement. Haughton will be based in Boston.

Haughton brings experience in private practice law, advanced planning, wealth management and estate planning technology, mostly recently serving as vice president of estate planning at wealth advisory firm Carson Group. Previously, he served as Commonwealth Financial Network’s team lead of advanced planning.

Haughton will work with advisers and wealth management firms to expand the adoption of attorney-led estate planning. He will educate advisers on estate planning trends and practice management.

IRA Financial Selects Tony Unkel as Director of Partnerships

Self-directed retirement platform IRA Financial named Tony Unkel director of partnerships, a newly created role.

Unkel brings more than 16 years of experience across alternative investments, business development, strategic partnerships and wealth management distribution.

Before joining IRA Financial, he served as business development manager at the Entrust Group. Earlier in his career, he held business development and channel sales roles at Colonial Surety Co. and OSG Billing Services.

Old National HNW Division Picks New President, CIO

Old National Bank promoted Katie Florig to president of its high-net-worth division,1834, and Tom Weizenegger to CIO of 1834.

Florig is responsible for the growth of the 1834’s wealth advisory and trust and estate business. She previously served as 1834’s managing director of investment management.

Weizenegger will lead a team of investment professionals and portfolio managers. Before his promotion, he served as 1834’s managing director of investment management.

Ascensus Names Edward Greene Chief Human Resources Officer

Ascensus LLC named Edward Greene its next chief human resources officer, effective September 14. Green will report to CEO Nick Good.

Greene will lead Ascensus’ human capital strategy, talent development, organizational effectiveness and cultural initiatives.

Greene joins Ascensus from Iron Mountain, where he most recently served as adviser to the CEO and served previously as chief human resources officer. Earlier in his career, Greene held leadership roles with FactSet Research Systems Inc., Surfside Capital Advisors, Voya Financial Inc. and Fidelity Investments.

MAP Retirement Selects Adam Williams as National Director of Group Plan Solutions

MAP Retirement, a retirement plan third-party administrator, announced the hire of Adam Williams as national director of group plan solutions, a newly created role. Williams reports to Mark Lewis, national sales manager for MAP [Mission Aligned Partners].

According to the announcement, Williams will drive growth across MAP’s group plans business, including pooled employer plans, multiple employer plans and groups of plans. He will work closely with MAP’s sales, relationship management, product, marketing and operations teams.

Williams brings more than 10 years of new business development experience, including roles with FuturePlan by Ascensus, a TPA and division of Ascensus, and, most recently, Finway Group, now part of Strongpoint Partners. At Finway, Williams helped advisers and plan sponsors adopt PEPs and 3(16) fiduciary services.

Geoff Gohs Appointed as IRALogix’s Chief Technology Officer

IRALogix Inc., an individual retirement account rollover technology platform, appointed Geoff Gohs as chief technology officer. Charlie Gautreaux, who previously served as both head of technology and product, will now focus exclusively on product strategy and development.

Gohs has more than 20 years of technology and leadership experience across banking, commercial software, education technology and financial technology. Most recently, he served as CTO at cloud solutions provider hh2. Previously, he served as CTO at K-12 software companies Gaggle and LINQ, as well as vice president of engineering at digital banking solutions provider Apiture.
