NFP Appoints President of PartnersFinancial

John Irvin has been appointed president of PartnersFinancial, one of National Financial Partners Corp.’s (NFP) national membership organizations, the company said.

Irvin is a member of PartnersFinancial and a principal of a founding NFP firm. He will remain principal of this diversified financial services subsidiary, which is in the process of implementing a succession plan. As president of PartnersFinancial, Irvin will report to Jim Gelder, CEO of NFP Insurance Services, Inc.

Previously, Irvin was a partner and co-founder of Mid Atlantic Capital Group. Before that he ran John Irvin & Company, a certified public accounting firm. Irvin began his specialization in individual taxation, financial planning, estate planning and trust services while at the international accounting firm of Arthur Andersen & Company. Irvin serves as a director for the McGehee Group, The International Forum, and Argon ST, Inc., where he is also chairman of the Audit Committee.
