Kevin Murphy Named Retirement VP at Broadridge

After 14 years at Franklin Templeton, Murphy will lead sales initiatives for the iJoin fintech platform.

Broadridge Financial Solutions has hired Kevin Murphy, a retirement services industry veteran with 26 years of experience, as vice president of retirement solutions.

Murphy will lead sales for Broadridge’s recently acquired fintech platform, iJoin, which offers defined contribution plan design and participant engagement. Murphy served 14 years at Franklin Templeton, where he most recently held the position of head of workplace solutions and strategic growth for research strategies and technology, according to his LinkedIn profile.

Broadridge has made other notable technology-focused acquisitions in the past year, including an agreement to buy financial software company CQG Inc. and one to partner with WealthFeed Inc., a cloud-based platform.

As a leader in sales for iJoin, Murphy will be responsible for helping scale adoption of the platform among recordkeepers, advisers, asset managers, plan sponsors and other retirement stakeholders.

“I’m energized by the leadership, culture and innovative vision to deliver real value to clients and partners as we help more participants achieve their unique financial goals,” Murphy wrote in a LinkedIn post announcing his move.
