PBS' Frontline to Re-Air Retirement Plan Documentary
Next week, Public Broadcasting System’s (PBS) Frontline program will re-air a documentary called “The Retirement Gamble.”
Reported by Rebecca Moore
According to the organization’s website, the film raises questions about how America’s financial institutions protect retirement savings. It asks, “Will your IRAs or 401(k) accounts ensure a safe retirement?”
The 60-minute documentary is further described as an examination of retirement accounts, including the lack of uniformity in plans, which results in some workers paying much more than others; the cost of a seemingly small annual fee when spread out across a worker’s lifetime; and hidden fees.
Local listings and the trailer for “The Retirement Gamble” can be found at www.pbs.org/frontline, and the full program can be viewed online.
