NFP Makes New Appointments

Brett Schneider was named chief financial officer, and Tim Robb has been appointed general counsel at NFP National Financial Partners (NFP).

Schneider, previously senior vice president and controller at NFP, has been promoted to executive vice president  and CFO. He succeeds Donna Blank. Schneider joined NFP in January 2003 as vice president and director of financial reporting, and has served as senior vice president and controller since 2007. Before joining NFP, he was an audit manager at KPMG, where he worked in the financial services division for over seven years. Schneider holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Long Island University.

NFP also announced that Robb, most recently senior vice president, associate general counsel at NFP, has been promoted to executive vice president, general counsel. He succeeds Stan Barton. Robb joined NFP in 2005 as vice president, senior counsel. Before coming to NFP, he was an associate at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett and served as a law clerk for the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York. Robb holds a bachelor’s of science degree from Syracuse University and a juris doctorate from the Fordham University School of Law.
