Thursday, the Dow closed 87.06 points (0.25%) higher at 34,583.57, the Nasdaq was up 8.48 points (0.06%) at 13,897.30, and the S&P 500 increased 19.06 points (0.43%) to 4,500.21. The Russell 2000 was down 7.14 points (0.35%) at 2,009.80, and the Wilshire 5000 gained 120.37 points (0.27%) to finish at 45,088.73.

The price of the 10-year Treasury note was down 5/32, increasing its yield to 2.656%. The price of the 30-year Treasury bond decreased 30/32, bringing its yield up to 2.675%.
