Monday, the Dow rose 43.04 points (0.13%) to close at 34,006.88, the Nasdaq rose 59.51 points (0.45%) to close at 13,271.32 and the S&P 500 rose 17.38 points (0.40%) to close at 4,337.44. The Russell 2000 rose 7.74 points (0.44%) to close at 1,784.24, and the FT Wilshire 5000 Index rose 172.25 points (0.40%) to close at 43,662.39.

The 10-year Treasury note fell 30/32, bringing the yield to 4.538%. The 30-year Treasury bond fell 2 1/32, bringing the yield to 4.666.
