Wednesday, the Dow gained 236.82 points (0.68%) to finish at 34,814.39, the Nasdaq closed 123.77 points (0.82%) higher at 15,161.53, and the S&P 500 increased 37.85 points (0.85%) to 4,480.70. The Russell 2000 was up 24.46 points (1.11%) at 2,234.45, and the Wilshire 5000 climbed 396.23 points (0.86%) to 46,504.50.

The price of the 10-year Treasury note was down 1/32, increasing its yield to 1.302%. The price of the 30-year Treasury bond decreased 24/32, bringing its yield up to 1.869%.
