Friday, the Dow gained 482.54 points (1.43%) to finish at 34,326.46, the Nasdaq closed 118.12 points (0.82%) higher at 14,566.70, and the S&P 500 increased 49.50 points (1.15%) to 4,357.04. The Russell 2000 was up 37.26 points (1.69%) at 2,241.63, and the Wilshire 5000 climbed 511.31 points (1.14%) to 45,361.33.

The price of the 10-year Treasury note increased 24/32, bringing its yield down to 1.468%. The price of the 30-year Treasury bond was up 2/32, decreasing its yield to 2.035%.

For the week ending October 1, the Dow decreased 1.36%, the Nasdaq fell 3.20%, and the S&P 500 lost 2.21%. The Russell 2000 was down 0.29%, and the Wilshire 5000 finished 2.16% lower.
