Monday, the Dow rose 314.25 points (0.93%) to close at 33,984.54, the Nasdaq rose 160.75 points (1.20%) to close at 13,576.98 and the S&P 500 rose 45.85 points (1.06%) to close at 4,373.63. The Russell 2000 rose 27.35 points (1.59%) to close at 1,747.06, and the FT Wilshire 5000 Index rose 494.72  points (1.14%) to close at 43,938.21.

The 10-year Treasury note  fell 28/32, bringing the yield to 4.707%. The 30-year Treasury bond fell 1 3/32, bringing the yield to 4.853%.
