Tuesday, the Dow fell 879.44 points (3.15%) to 27,081.36, the NASDAQ lost 255.67 points (2.77%) to finish at 8,965.61, and the S&P 500 dropped 97.68 points (3.03%) to 3,128.21. The Russell 2000 closed 56.21 points (3.45%) lower at 1,571.90, and the Wilshire 5000 plunged 1,106.15 points (3.09%) to 31,921.37. The price of the 10-year Treasury note was up 3/32, decreasing its yield to 1.343%. The price of the 30-year Treasury bond increased 26/32, bringing its yield down to 1.816%.
