The Russell 2000 lost 58.14 points (2.99%) to close at 1,888.21 and the Wilshire 5000 was down 870.09 points (2.13%) to close at 39,949.47.

The price of the 10-year Treasury note increased 4/32, bringing the yield to 3.956%. The price of the 30-year Treasury bond was unchanged, bringing the yield to 3.975%.
