Tuesday, the Dow gained 492.40 points (1.40%) to finish at 35,719.43, the Nasdaq closed 461.76 points (3.03%) higher at 15,686.92, and the S&P 500 increased 95.08 points (2.07%) to 4,686.75. The Russell 2000 was up 50.31 points (2.28%) at 2,253.79, and the Wilshire 5000 climbed 1,020.51 points (2.18%) to 47,933.44.

The price of the 10-year Treasury note was down 4/32, increasing its yield to 1.479%. The price of the 30-year Treasury bond decreased 30/32, bringing its yield up to 1.806%.
