Wednesday, the Dow rose 111.19 points (0.30%) to close at 37,656.52, the Nasdaq rose 24.60 points (0.16%) to close at 15,099.18 and the S&P 500 fell 2.39 points (0.05%) to close at 4,777.14. The Russell 2000 gained 7.02 points (0.34%) to close at 2,066.21, and the FT Wilshire 5000 Index gained 86.06 points (0.18%) to close at 48,495.18.

The 10-year Treasury note increased 31/32, bringing the yield to 3.794%. The 30-year Treasury bond increased 1 31/32, bringing the yield to 3.947%.
