| Friday, the Dow was up by 78.13 points (0.28%) for a 28,455.09 close, the NASDAQ inched upwards by 37.74 points (0.42%) to 8,924.96, and the S&P 500 ticked upwards by 15.86 points (0.49%) to end at 3,221.23. The Russell 2000 was up by 4.81 points (0.29%) for a 1,671.90 close, and the Wilshire 5000 was up by 156.14 points (0.48%) to reach 32,810.43. The price of the 10-year Treasury note was up by 3/32, lowering its yield to 1.916%, and the price of the 30-year Treasury bond was up by 3/32, lowering its yield to 2.342%. WEEK’S WORTH: For the week ended December 20, the Dow was up 1.14%, the S&P 500 was up 1.65%, and the NASDAQ gained 2.18%. The Russell 2000 was up 2.07%, and the Wilshire 5000 was up by 1.77%. | |
