Thursday, the Dow gained 271.58 points (0.78%) to finish at 35,064.25, the Nasdaq closed 114.58 points (0.78%) higher at 14,895.12, and the S&P 500 was up 26.44 points (0.60%) at 4,429.10. The Russell 2000 increased 39.69 points (1.81%) to 2,236.01, and the Wilshire 5000 climbed 343.16 points (0.75%) to 46,105.67.

The price of the 10-year Treasury note decreased 25/32, bringing its yield up to 1.217%. The price of the 30-year Treasury bond fell 29/32, increasing its yield to 1.864%.
