Thursday, the Dow inched downward by 80.12 points (0.29%) to fall to 27,896.72, the NASDAQ was up slightly by 30.27 points (0.27%) to end at 11,042,50, and the S&P 500 was off ever so slightly by 6.92 points (0.20%) for a 3,373.43 close. The Russell 2000 lost 3.46 points (0.22%) to decline to 1,579.79, and the Wilshire 5000 gave up 33.28 points (0.10%) to close at 34, 492.58. The price of the 10-year Treasury not was down by 13/32, increasing its yield to 0.722%, and the price of the 30-year Treasury bond was also down by 13.32, increasing its yield to 1.432%.
