The Russell 2000 rose 21.64 points (1.09%) to close at 2,003.18 and the FT Wilshire 5000 Index rose 126.52 points (0.27%) to close at 46,450.21.

The price of the 10-year Treasury note fell 1/32, bringing the yield to 3.961%. The price of the 30-year Treasury bond was unchanged, bringing the yield to 4.012%.
