Wednesday, the Dow gained 146.97 points (0.53%) to finish at 27,649.78, the NASDAQ closed 46.03 points (0.54%) higher at 8,566.67, and the S&P 500 increased 19.56 points (0.63%) to 3,112.76. The Russell 2000 was up 11.27 points (0.70%) at 1,613.90, and the Wilshire 5000 climbed 187.26 points (0.59%) to 31,727.95. The price of the 10-year Treasury note decreased 27/32, bringing its yield up to 1.773%. The price of the 30-year Treasury bond fell 1 3/32, increasing its yield to 2.223%.
