On Wednesday, the Dow jumped 545.29 points (2.13%) to 26,180.30, the NASDAQ increased 194.79 points (2.64%) to 7570.75 and the S&P 500 gained 58.44 points (2.12%) to hit 2,813.89. The Russell 2000 gained 26.06 points (1.67%) to reach 1,582.16, and the Wilshire 5000 increased 584.45 points (2.05%) to 29,051.70. The price of the 10-year Treasury note was down 3/32, increasing its yield to 3.226%. The price of the 30-year Treasury bond increased 2/32, bringing its yield down to 3.441%.
