Wednesday, the Dow gained 162.94 points (0.61%) to finish at 26,970.71, the NASDAQ closed 83.76 points (1.05%) higher at 8,077.38, and the S&P 500 increased 18.27 points (0.62%) to 2,984.87. The Russell 2000 was up 17.07 points (1.11%) at 1,550.65, and the Wilshire 5000 climbed 204.19 points (0.67%) to 30,506.51. The price of the 10-year Treasury note decreased 7/32, bringing its yield up to 1.730%. The price of the 30-year Treasury bond fell 1 29/32, increasing its yield to 2.181%.
