Transamerica to Take on Mercer DC Recordkeeping Business Industry consolidation continued for the retirement plan services industry this week as Aegon, through an affiliate of its Transamerica unit, announced an agreement with Mercer HR Services to acquire Mercer’s U.S. defined contribution administration book of business. With the deal, Transamerica will become the preferred defined contribution recordkeeping provider for Mercer’s total benefit outsourcing and total retirement outsourcing clients.
