Wednesday, the Dow dropped 800.49 points (3.05%) to 25,479.42, the NASDAQ fell 242.42 points (3.02%) to 7,773.94, and the S&P 500 lost 85.72 points (2.93%) to finish at 2,840.60. The Russell 2000 stumbled 43.05 points (2.85%) to 1,467.52, and the Wilshire 5000 plunged 872.48 points (2.91%) to 29,107.05. The price of the 10-year Treasury note increased 1 1/32, bringing its yield down to 1.581%. The price of the 30-year Treasury bond climbed 3 24/32, decreasing its yield to 2.020%.
