Although it is projected to become insolvent in 2034, researchers say a small payroll tax increase in the near term could save Social Security.

Roth IRA Investors Are Different |
While about a third of U.S. households owned one or more type of individual retirement account in 2013, for a total of $7.4 trillion invested, Roth IRAs held only $550 billion, or a mere 7% of all IRA assets. The numbers show Roth IRA investors are “quite different than traditional IRA investors,” according to a new report from the Investment Company Institute.

Study Suggests Millennials Interested in Annuities |
More than half of Millennials are very or somewhat interested in annuities, according to a survey by the Indexed Annuity Leadership Council. Many young investors are interested in annuities “because they can help grow a retirement nest egg and provide long-term financial security,” the Council finds.
