Tuesday, the Dow fell 424.56 points (1.74%) to 24,024.13, the NASDAQ lost 121.25 points (1.70%) to finish at 7,007.35, and the S&P 500 closed 35.73 points (1.34%) lower at 2,634.56. The Russell 2000 was down 8.84 points (0.57%) at 1,553.28, and the Wilshire 5000 decreased 366.05 points (1.32%) to 27,421.16.
The price of the 10-year Treasury note was down 5/32, increasing its yield to 2.994%. The price of the 30-year Treasury bond decreased 21/32, bringing its yield up to 3.177%.
