Friday, the Dow was up 269.25 points (1.03%) to close at 26,412.30, the NASDAQ climbed 36.81 points (0.46%) to 7,984.16, and the S&P 500 gained 19.09 points (0.66%) to 2,907.41. The Russell 2000 inched upwards by 5.66 points (0.36%) to 1,584.80, and the Wilshire 5000 was up 193.91 points (0.65%) to 30,059.92. The price of the 30-year Treasury bond was down 31/32, increasing its yield to 2.976%. The price of the 10-year Treasury note was down 17/32, increasing its yield to 2.557%. WEEK’S WORTH: For the week ended April 22, the Dow was down 0.05%, the S&P 500 was up 0.51% and the NASDAQ was up by 0.57%. The Russell 2000 was up by 0.14% and the Wilshire 5000 was up 0.61%.
