New York Life Adds Two Sales Executives

New York Life Retirement Plan Services added two veteran sales executives.

Shannon Knapp was appointed vice president of institutional sales for the mid- and large-retirement plan markets in the South/Central territory. The firm also promoted Glenn Macdonald to vice president, DCIO Stable Value, serving in the East region.

Macdonald was previously a second vice president and senior investment specialist with New York Life. The two report to Patrick Murphy, who became New York Life Retirement Plan Services’ managing director of sales last September.

Knapp spent the last 11 years at Lincoln Financial Group, most recently as director of institutional retirement solutions. Knapp holds a Bachelor of Science degree in commerce and business administration from the University of Alabama and is based in Dallas.

Prior to joining New York Life in 2010, Macdonald worked for 16 years in Fidelity Investments’ retirement business, most recently in its Pyramis Global Advisors unit as a Northeast regional relationship manager. He graduated from St. Anselm College with a Bachelor’s degree in business administration.
