Firm Produces Two Investment Education Offerings

Smart401k, an Overland Park, Kansas-based education provider for employer plans, has unveiled two online offerings.

A news announcement said the company released a Retirement Education Center and an asset allocation tool, and both are publicly available.

According to the announcement, the Retirement Education Center features basic explanations about retirement planning and general investing and advanced information ranging from income investing to longevity risk strategies.  The asset allocation tool allows users to discover whether their investment style is conservative, moderate, or aggressive and provides guidance about general fund categories that could benefit the investor.

“We cannot sit back and forget about our investments once we have signed up for our retirement plan through work,” said Scott Holsopple, president and CEO of Smart401k, in the news release. “We have to maintain control and understand how our investments will help us reach our retirement goals.”
