Evergreen Pension Consultants Opens Shop

Founded by Daniel R. Herzog, Evergreen Pension Consultants said it offers Colorado’s business community a professional, independent approach to managing 401(k) and pension programs. 

According to an announcement, the Colorado-based firm integrates “advanced tools, systems, and over 25 years of experience to provide businesses a thorough understanding of the complex issues involved in retirement plans.” The company works closely with plan sponsors to devise effective retirement plan strategies and offers ongoing support including investment monitoring.

The firm’s expertise includes trustee and fiduciary responsibilities, pension design, administration and investment analysis. The company said it is experienced with the unique issues surrounding company stock and reducing funding liability for defined benefit programs.

Herzog began his career designing retirement plan documents and providing education for financial institutions for the emerging 401(k) industry in the 1980s and managed 401(k) operations for a major mutual fund company in the following decade. He has worked directly with plan sponsors in an advisory capacity over the last 10 years.
