DoL to Host Spanish-Language Advice Webcast

The U.S. Department of Labor’s (DoL) Employee Benefits Security Administration will host a free Spanish-language retirement savings Webcast on June 22.

The first ever Spanish-language “Guide to Retirement Saving” Webcast will offer free advice on money management and saving for retirement. The event will be co-sponsored by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc. in coordination with the National Council of La Raza.

The Webcast will help participants get started with saving for retirement by explaining how to set goals and make saving a personal priority.  It is designed to provide money management advice for younger workers who are interested in starting to save now as well as those individuals who are close to retirement.

“We are very pleased to add a Spanish Webcast to our ongoing series of financial education events,” said Assistant Secretary of Labor Phyllis Borzi. “Now, more than ever, it is important that we reach as many workers as possible and let them know about the steps that can be taken today to ensure their future financial security.”

The Webcast will be hosted on Wednesday, June 22, from 2:30 to 4 p.m. EDT. Participants can register here.
