The CAIA Association Introduces New Educational Tool

The association’s new platform is designed to fill educational gaps for advisory professionals across the wealth management industry.

The Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst Association, the professional body for the global alternative investment industry, has announced the launch of UniFi by CAIA, a platform designed specifically for the needs of professionals in the private wealth management industry.

UniFi by CAIA allows advisory professionals to complete a series of online modules in several alternative investment categories, such as private equity and private credit. Upon completion of those modules, participants earn a “micro-credential” that CAIA says will serve as “a key signal to clients, colleagues and the industry” that they have achieved a significant level of knowledge around the topic.

“Clients are finding their desired financial outcomes to be ever more elusive, resulting in a wave of new and innovative investment products coming to market,” says Aaron Filbeck, managing director and head of UniFi by CAIA. “Of course, this sparks a great deal of investor interest but also highlights a critical education gap across the entire value chain of the private wealth management industry.”

Filbeck says CAIA has created UniFi and designed the platform “to allow participants to choose their own adventure, educate themselves and build more resilient portfolios to meet their client’s objectives.”
