Bill Barnes Joins Neuberger Berman in Public Funds Role

 

Neuberger Berman has named William H. Barnes as a senior vice president in institutional distribution focused on public funds.

Barnes will be based in San Francisco, and his territory will encompass the Western United States. He reports to Carter Reynolds, managing director, who leads the firm’s public and Taft-Hartley distribution efforts.

According to a press release, Barnes comes to Neuberger Berman from Janus Capital Group, where he had been vice president and head of the public funds group since 2008. Prior to that, Barnes was with AXA Rosenberg and Schroder Capital Management. He has more than 22 years of experience in institutional sales within the investment management industry.

Barnes holds an undergraduate degree from Texas State University and an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin.
