Akre Capital Hires Client Services Head

Daniel Leger joined Akre Capital Management LLC as head of strategic planning and client services to help the firm expand its institutional investor business.

Leger carries extensive experience in the alternative investment industry, the firm says. He will focus on fostering new relationships with institutional investors and consultants, and on helping Akre plan for future growth.

Before joining Akre Capital Management, Leger worked with a variety of fund managers and held senior business development roles at BRI Partners, a Chicago-based venture capital firm which seeded, among others, Ore Hill Partners, a credit manager now owned by Man Group; Steel Partners, a global shareholder activist manager; and Geosphere Capital Management, a New York-based natural resources hedge fund. 

Leger holds a Ph.D. in political philosophy and international relations from the University of Notre Dame.
