--- fi360 appointed Byron Bowman to general counsel. ---
Bowman will direct the firm’s senior management on legal
matters, and monitor legislative and regulatory changes that affect
investment fiduciaries.
An attorney with more than 30 years of experience advising
mutual fund sponsors, investment advisers, broker/dealers and other investment
service firms, Bowman has expertise on federal securities and
banking law, Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) and the fiduciary
standard. He will also serve as fi360’s corporate secretary.
Before joining fi360, Bowman ran his own law practice in
Chicago. He was also general counsel for Hansberger Global Investors. Bowman has acted as counsel to banks, investment advisers
and investment companies nationwide.
Bowman holds a bachelor’s degree from Michigan State
University and a juris doctor from the University of Chicago.
Kristina Fausti Broumand,
fi360’s former general counsel, will remain with the company part-time.
Her new title is senior counsel. She will work with Bowman on corporate
legal matters and in an
advisory role related to the legislative and regulatory environment.
