PSNC 2017 Preview: Washington Update

Leading experts explore retirement-related developments in Washington, D.C., and state capitals across the U.S.

The 2017 PLANSPONSOR National Conference (PSNC) kicks off June 7 in Washington, D.C.

The event includes two-and-one-half days of peer-to-peer networking and education sessions led by top industry executives, consultants, attorneys and high-performing plan sponsors. This year’s event, focused on “Achieving Excellence in Plan Governance While Maximizing Plan Performance,” will deliver key insights and actionable information about all aspects of running a retirement plan under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA).

Among the most popular sessions each year is the Washington Update, in which leading experts explain retirement-related developments in Washington, D.C., and state capitals across the U.S. Panelists, in conversation with PLANSPONSOR Editor-in-Chief Alison Cooke Mintzer, will dive deep into the latest legislation and regulations impacting retirement plan sponsors and participants.

This year the panel features Bradford Campbell, partner, Drinker Biddle and Reath LLP, and former Assistant Secretary of Labor overseeing the Department of Labor’s (DOL)’s Employee Benefits Security Administration (EBSA) under President G.W. Bush; as well as Michael Kreps, principal, Groom Law Group, and former Senior Pensions and Employment Counsel for the U.S. Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions from the 110th through the 114th Congresses.

Plan sponsors can register for the premier event for free, and advisers and providers are also encouraged to register. Continuing education credits are available to be earned throughout the conference. Information about the full agenda and registration is available at http://www.plansponsor.com/event/psnc2017/.
