ExpertPlan Takes on Recordkeeping Business

June 14, 2012 ---  ExpertPlan has completed its acquisition of US Retirement Plan Recordkeeping LLC’s (USRP) existing recordkeeping plan business.    ---

The terms of the deal were not disclosed. USRP had processed their plans through InvestLink, which was later sold to ASPire Financial Services LLC.

“This is another example of how we continue to seek out strategic opportunities within the marketplace to reinvest our capital,” said Ross Brown, senior vice president, sales and relationship management. “Acquiring the recordkeeping business of USRP allowed us to drive scale by completing our conversion of their plans in addition to increasing ExpertPlan’s national distribution network.”

The Pension Specialists Ltd. had established USRP as a recordkeeping affiliate in 2007. The Pension Specialists will continue to focus on its core competency, which is third-party administration provided alongside its recordkeeping partners.
